After a few weeks of isolation for daddy we found out that he was negative for the Coronavirus! Thankfully we got the test results in the middle of a four day which meant that we were able to hug him and kiss him again! Unfortunately, just a few short days later he had to go back to work and go back into the camper.
Unfortunately I am still not able to go to the ranch to ride and that has me really sad. Because Art is older and has a few medical problems, Sonja really wants to protect him. As much as I understand, it is really hard for me to not be able to go. Luckily, our friend Cindy has allowed us to come out to her ranch to see all of her animals. She was really good about keeping her distance from us so that we could be there. She has a bunch of new miniature donkey babies that we got to see... they are so adorable! She also had some baby lambs that I got to help feed!
Easter came and even though we weren't able to go to church we still had a really nice day. Unfortunately daddy couldn't celebrate with us but we got to spend the day with Nonna and Nonno. The week prior to Easter we made all kinds of special desserts. While I was cooking mommy and Nonna helped me work on my fractions. I totally blew mommy's mind when I added fractions together to figure out how much flour we needed in the recipe. Mommy wasn't sure the Easter Bunny would make it because of the virus but he showed up and spoiled us rotten!
Maddox:
It has been almost a month since we have been on lock down and we are starting to feel a little bit restless. As much as we love to go to Nonna and Nonnos house, we needed a change of scenery. Before daddy had to go into isolation for the second time we took advantage of our ability to be around him and loaded into the car for a little escape! A late winter storm hit that brought a lot of snow to the mountains so we took the sleds and headed to the Diamond Lake sledding area. There was so much fresh snow that we only made it to the top of the mountain a few times before we were ready to call it quits but it was still nice to get out and away from the house.
Daddy's birthday is this month and even though we couldn't be around him mommy and Nonna planned a special party. We had dinner at our house and Nonno cooked daddy's favorite dinner... meatloaf! We also made daddy a really special birthday present that Nonna helped us think of. We took every box and piece of recycling that we could find and painted them for targets! Now we can spend hours outside with daddy shooting the BB guns together while still keeping our distance.
The weather has been nice and we are back on our bikes! We have been going to the green way to ride a lot and I was really having a hard time on my bike because I was getting too tall for it. Mommy took me to the store to get a new one on the strict rule that I wear a mask and not touch anything! It was hard to do but I was pretty excited about my new spider man bike. After I got my new bike, mommy asked daddy to make us some jumps... he had two jumps made for us in a matter of minutes! Now sissy and I are like BMX stars!
