A trip to the beach!

My daddy is still gone and my mommy is keeping us super busy to help pass the time. We miss daddy a lot... The house is lonely and quiet and super clean!
This last weekend we went to the coast with my best friend Jace and his mommy Heather.  We rented a little house right near the Winchuck River; The river empties right into the ocean. It was a perfect spot for us because we had plenty of beach to play on and it was nicely protected from the wind. It was supposed to rain the whole weekend and our mommy's tried to cancel the trip. Thankfully they weren't able to because it turned out to be a beautiful weekend. We got there Saturday afternoon and got a short play on the beach (it was pretty cold and windy).  Then it poured rain all Saturday night!  Sunday morning was a bit cloudy (not bad enough to keep us away from the beach though) but by the afternoon it was warm enough that we got to go get an ice cream cone and play more on the beach!
Jace and I had a lot of fun playing on the beach... What a huge sandbox!! We dug holes, splashed in the water (little streams running into the river cuz our mommies wouldn't let us get too close), collected treasures, drew pictures in the sand....It was a blast! We even found a few forts that other people had constructed on the beach and spent some time playing in them.  It was a great weekend!

Happy Eattie!!!

This weekend we celebrated Easter!  Like I mentioned in my last post, we had a big program at school, the Easter bunny came, we had a very special day at church, and a really nice dinner over at my best friend Jace's house.
I wasn't so sure about the Eattie (that's how I say Easter) bunny and was a bit afraid that he might be scary. Mommy assured me that there were no "boos" to worry about and on Easter morning I was pretty impressed with what I found. I got my very own pic-nic table for outside and a basket of other fun toys and even some candy.  The Easter bunny guy must have been pretty special cuz mommy even let me have a Hershey's kiss before breakfast!!!
I got to wear a brand new dress for church and I looked really pretty... The best part was that it had orange polka dots all over it! Our church had a barbecue after the service and they had bounce houses for us to jump in which I actually jumped in for the first time without being scared!!
After I took a bit of a nap we went over to the the Trautzs' house for dinner. Jace and I got to hunt Easter eggs filled with all kinds of yummy goodies. We even found a frog during the egg hunt and I touched it!

Girls Month

My Daddy left last Sunday to go on a really special trip... He is rafting the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon and will be gone for a whole month!  Mommy and I miss him a ton and I am having a difficult time understanding just exactly what a "trip" really is. I see his truck parked in the driveway and figure that he should be here. Mommy has a lot of stuff planned and we are having lots of good quality time together.
I helped her do the grocery shopping this week and was a really good girl the whole time. I was in such a good mood while we were shopping that I said hello to everyone we saw. Since I didn't know their names I would just say "Hi nice guy!" or "Hi nice yady!" (thats how I say lady). I also have been helping mommy in the kitchen a lot... Making soup and bread for Uncle Frankie since he was sick, a pie for Easter dinner, jello jigglers, jello pudding, and lots of other stuff. Mommy even taught me how to lick the beaters when we were done making pudding!!
I participated in my first program at school this week and mommy was right in the front row to watch me! I was so surprised and excited to see her that I giggled through the entire program.  I even ran off the stage to give her a hug a couple of times!

Girls Weekend

This last Thursday my Nonna and my Nono had to go home. I was pretty sad when I came home and couldn't find them... After being here for three weeks I didn't really know why they had to go. The last night and morning they were here I extra super adorable and kept posing for pictures!

This weekend my mommy and I got to have a girls weekend in Bend with Aunt Kristy, Baylee, and Paige. We had a really great time! We did some shopping of course and I was amazingly good. The hotel we stayed at had a really nice pool so we spent a lot if time there too. I also watched my first real movie called "Frozen"... Technically it isn't the first movie I have seen but rather the first one I have seen the whole way through!  Since we watched it in the hotel room I got to dance around to the music  and wiggle as much as I wanted.
By the end of the weekend I had bonded pretty well with the girls and I was inseparable with Miss Paige especially.  I'm not sure she was as enamored with me as I as her but I still followed her everywhere, held her hand as much as possible, and called her "my sissy"!

Cheese Me!

This week has been pretty mellow for me. Mommy was working full time since her boss was in Hawaii so I stayed home with Nonna and Nono or hung out at daycare.
One night last weekend my good friend Jace came over for dinner and we had a really good time playing. We had a blast with the balloons and Jace really liked playing with my Nonna's walker from her surgery.
This week while I stayed home I really tried to be a good helper to my Nonna. I helped mommy give her foot rubs, helped bring her ice packs for her knee, and helped her do her exercises.  I count with her too so that she doesn't forget how many reps she has done! Three, eight, nine, five! Those are the ones I remember!
One morning on my way to school Nonna thought I looked super cute in my leopard pants and purple coat. When she asked if she could take my picture I posed and said "Cheese Me!" over and over again!!
