Color Run Fun!!

We have settled back into a normal routine again... It sure is good to have daddy back with us. We did a lot of work around the house this week to get caught up from all of last weeks commotion. I'm pretty sure mommy did at least 8 loads of laundry... She sure complained enough for it to be that much!  We had some really nice days and were able to spend some time outside.  When the doggies got too hot I helped them cool off in my swimming pool! We also got the garden planted... Lots of tomato plants, zucchini, acorn and summer squash, red and yellow peppers, watermelon, pumpkins, basil, artichokes, corn, and lots of my GiGi's famous beans are all in the ground and ready to grow!!
This weekend we went and participated in The Color Run, the happiest 5k on the planet!  My mommy and I wore tutus, big sunglasses, knee high socks, and bright pink lip stick! My daddy wore a funny wig, a fake beard, and a pair of mommy's spandex shorts!! There were ladies that kept asking to have their picture taken with him! I ran for the first part of the race then wanted mommy to carry me, sometimes I rode on my daddies shoulders. I got super excited when they threw paint on us and kept saying "paint me, paint me!"

A FANTASTIC WEEK!!!

This has been a really wonderful week!  First off my Nonna and Nono showed up for to see us and THEN.... My daddy came home!! I'm not sure I recognized him at first because he was really hairy but his voice still sounded the same so that really helped.
This weekend was Mother's Day and we had a really great weekend together as a family. We had a relaxing day at home on Saturday after daddy got back then Sunday he had to go back to work. Mommy, Nonna, Nono and I went to church then we packed a picnic and went to Del Rio. I had a lot if fun playing with some other little girls there. That evening we just relaxed at home and I helped my mommy plant her Mother's Day flowers that I got for her with Nonna's help.

Happy Mothers Day!!

Safari and Tea Time

This last week was full of fun times as we continue to wait for daddy to come home. We certainly have stayed busy! Mommy has been a busy little bee around the house trying to get yard work done so that daddy will not be so overwhelmed when he gets back. I even got my hands dirty and helped her plant some flowers! They were orange, of course, so that made it even more exciting for me!
We had a very special baby shower/Tea Party to go to this weekend and we were out of wrapping paper so mommy decided to make some. It was A LOT of work but I had a blast doing it... Especially when we got to make the splashes of paint with the brush! I loved that! When we got to the party I helped Miss Heather by handing her the presents and pulling out all of the tissue. Anything orange that she opened I thought was mine but mommy didn't let me keep any of it! It was a really special party because I got to sit at the "little girls" table for the first time. We all had special cupcake shaped sandwiches and drank tea out of our very own tea cups! I didn't really eat much because I was too busy watching the other girls!
The same day as the tea party we also went to Wildlife Safari. It is a really neat place that is similar to a zoo but you stay in your car and drive around to see animals that are roaming free. We saw rhinos, elephants, giraffes, hippos, lions, tigers, cheetahs, bears, and a whole lot more. Jace and I got to ride out of our car seats and we sat in mommy's lap most of the time. Mommy bought a cup of special food that we got to feed to some of the animals and an emu came right up to the car window!! It ate right from the cup in mommy's hand! I was kinda scared when it got that close and I think mommy was too! She kept saying "it looks like its gonna peck me!"
It was a super fun day and I was exhausted at the end of it. I fell asleep in the car on the way home (about 6:30) and slept until the next morning at 7:00 (which is about 2 hours more than normal). Then I took a three and a half hour nap the next day!! Hurry home daddy! Mommy is wearing me out!!
