A trip to "The Big Apple"!!

Our trip to Jersey finished off really big with a day trip into the city. We all got dressed up in our tie-dyed shirts and jumped on a train!  My first time ever riding a real one, Jimi's too, and we were both really excited.  Much to my dismay, when we got to the city mommy strapped me into a stroller even though I really wanted to walk.  She kept saying there were too many people and I might get lost! I have to admit, I'm not sure I had ever seen that many people, but that didn't stop me from asking!  Our first stop was to the Toys-R-Us store in Times Square! Four stories of endless fun!!  There is even a giant Ferris wheel inside the store that we got to ride. 

After that, we kept walking through the city until we got to Central Park where we had a little pic-nic and went to the zoo. They actually have a really nice zoo right in the middle of the park, right in the middle of a huge city! They had really neat animals to look at and even some we could pet. I really liked walking through the rain forest section and seeing all the birds. I thought it was really funny that it kept raining on us inside!!

After the zoo I passed out in my stroller (it was way past my nap time) for a little while. When I woke up we had a quick dinner and then headed to a show called "Gazillion Bubbles"! Unfortunately they wouldn't allow us to take pictures in the theater but they were definitely not lying! I have never seen so many bubbles and the guy did really neat tricks with them!  It was a great surprise from Uncle Tom and a really fun way to end our day. 

The next day was our last, so we stayed home and relaxed a bit. It actually poured rain for most of the day which kept us all locked inside. By night time we were all going a bit crazy so we broke out some glow sticks and headed out for a walk around the block! 

The plane ride home the next day was a bit easier on mommy, though we had a four hour layover in Denver. That was okay with me because I got to ride the escalator over, and over, and over, and over!  By the time we got on the plane I was exhausted! Our last leg of the flight I fell asleep sitting up in my seat before the plane even took off and I almost fell over! Mommy laid me down in her lap and I slept the entire time!

Vacation Time

Mommy and I got to get away on a vacation this week. First we drove down to Pica and Grammies house (which was a horrible ordeal since mommies car overheated really bad... We had to stop about every 40 miles or so to put more water into it... Talk about a long day...) where we picked up Bubba and Hayden. The following morning we all jumped on a plane and headed to New Jersey. It was another long day of travel and it was especially hard on me. We boarded the plane in Reno, stopped in LA and Nashville, but were never allowed off the plane. By the time we got to Jersey we had been stuck on the same plane for over 9 hours!! I also was still getting over a head cold and so couldn't get my ears to clear.  That was really painful for me and I cried every time we landed. 

Once we got here and got settled things got much, much better. I have been having a blast playing with my cousins! We have been swimming, going to the park, riding bikes and "tooters" (skooters), and doing crafts. My Auntie bought us all shirts that we got to tie-dye for a big trip into New York City in a couple of days! 

I have been having so much fun that mommy has been having a hard time getting me to nap and go to bed at night! I just don't want to stop playing!!
