A special visitor, fun play time, and my first field trip

A few weeks ago my mommy brought home a very special visitor. The "clinic cat" Kit was really sick and needed some extra love and affection. Mommy knew that I was the girl for the job! I made sure I took really good care of her... In fact, I pretty much never left her side. I made special care to bring her into my room so she could watch me while I played, I spent lots of time reading her books, and just giving her love. Unfortunately our cat Beatle was not very happy that she was here so mommy had to take her back. She is better now though and back to her normal self but I still wish mommy would bring her back.
I also got to go to a new place this week and have some special play time with my good friend Jace. Our mommies took us to a local gym where they have some fun free time called "kinder gym". We got to run around in the gymnastics area and play on all the equipment.  When they said it was time for us to leave our mommies knew we still had lots of energy left so they let us play next door where they have a huge maze of tubes to crawl in. My mommy even got in and crawled around with us.  After we were worn out we went back to Jaces house for a nap. When we woke up Miss Heather put on the movie "Toy Story" and made us a big bowl of popcorn! We are the whole thing!
To top off the week I got to go on my first real field trip with my class! We rode the bus like big kids to Seven Oaks Farms to visit the pumpkin patch and my mommy met us there! We got to take a hay ride out to the big pumpkin patch where my class mates and I got to pick out our very own pumpkins! When we were done they let us feed carrots to the goats! I thought hat was really fun too.

A visit to the Pumpkin Patch

This last weekend I got to go to the pumpkin patch with my good friend Jace!  Mommy, daddy, Miss Heather, Mr. Marc, and baby Bella went too. I had a really great time doing all of the fun things there like running through the straw bale maze (though Jace quickly showed me that it was more fun to run on top of the bales than between them)!  I think my favorite part was riding the cow train (little barrels that they cut out to make look like cows and then pulled behind a four wheeler)... I did it three different times! We had so much fun that the mommies actually convinced our daddies to ride once! Boy did they look silly in those little cows!  Then we got to pick out pumpkins from the pumpkin patch... I wanted to take home the really big one I could sit on but mommy said I had to be able to carry it on my own. Then I picked out two of the cutest little pumpkins I could find. My only special request was that they be orange!  When we got home mommy let me paint my pumpkins since they were too small to carve. I had lots of fun doing that too and I was really proud of how pretty they turned out to be.

Arms up and ready for a wild ride!!

Fall fun

This last week was tons of fun!  Mommy had a bunch of errands to run one day and I got to go along. I was such a good girl that mommy decided we needed a special treat... So we went and had a pedicure together! My very first time at a real salon and I really enjoyed it. I got to soak my feet in the water with mommy... I really liked the bubbles! I was super brave and let the lady file my nails and when she was done she even massaged my feet for me! I had her paint my toe nails orange, of course, and then she topped it off with some silver sparkles! I felt pretty special.
It has still been really warm here during the days but sure is getting chilly at night. As a result, all of the leaves on the trees are beginning to turn pretty colors and fall to the ground. Even though daddy has a leaf blower, mommy raked a big pile up for me that we could play in. I had lots of fun jumping in the middle of the pile and throwing the leaves up in the air.  We also decorated the outside of the house for fall with a Scare-Crow, pumpkins, and clumps of corn stalks.  It looks pretty neat.

Getting ready for fall

We came back from our big trip with a big list of things that needed to be done. Hunting season is coming soon so daddy will be really busy and gone an awful lot so mommy says we have to keep him busy when he is home. As a result, we haven't been doing lots of fun stuff... We've just been busy with projects around the house.
Our biggest project has been getting the nursery ready cuz apparently I have a baby brother on the way!! Mommy says he'll be here by February so we have to hurry.  She is worried that she won't have time to get everything ready with the holidays coming up. So, mommy and daddy spent a whole weekend cleaning out the extra bedroom/office to make it into a nursery. I tried to help as much as possible but was more interested in playing the games I found and setting up a fort in the closet mommy emptied out! I took my babies in there, closed the door, and played. Every once in a while I would open the door and holler out a request for snacks or water!
I also had my three year "well baby check up" this last week. Mommy talked about going to the doctor and we even practiced what I should do when he wanted to look at my eyes, ears, and mouth... I'm really good at sticking out my tongue and saying "ahhhhh"!! The doctor wanted something called a urine sample so I had to go pee-pee in a cup! That was super silly and I laughed really hard! Because I was such a good girl at the doctors office mommy bought me a big ice cream cone as a reward. I even let her share it with me because it was so big.
That weekend we stayed home again and worked on projects. My good friends Jace, baby Bella, and Heather were really sick so they couldn't come over and play. My "B" got sick too so I had mommy swaddle him up and I rocked him until he felt all better. Then I had a tea party with my babies! I served them warm milk and cookies!! Yummy!!
