Life's messy sometimes

Maren:
October and November have been kind of a big blur and mommy got really behind on this whole thing!  Once we got home from Disneyland we were pretty busy getting back to the swing of things.  Shortly after we came home we packed up again and headed to Reno for a long weekend.  Mommy had a conference there and we stayed at a really nice hotel with a pool.  The weather was pretty yucky so we didn't get to do a lot of swimming but it was still fun.  We also got to see Pica, Grammie, Aunt Deb and... our brand new cousin Fletcher!  I absolutely adored him and couldn't stop holding him when I was sitting down.  Unfortunately mommy got really sick while we were down there and ended up in the E.R. two different times.  Because of it we had to cut our trip a bit short and head home.  I was really bummed that we couldn't bring Fletcher with us!   We did bring Pooh Doggie home with us so mommy could work on her and fix some of her little problems.  It's like having the Doodies around again!
The remainder of the month was pretty boring because mommy was pretty sick and didn't feel like doing much with us.  Luckily she felt a bit better around Halloween and was able to participate with us a bit.  I dressed up like Snow White so mommy and Maddox dressed up like a few of the Dwarves!  Nonna went on a field trip with my class to the pumpkin patch and mommy came to my Halloween Party.   Then, mommy took us trick or treating for the very first time!  I had lots of fun but tired out pretty quickly from all the walking.  Mommy ended up giving me a piggy back ride back to Nonna's house where I helped pass out candy to the rest of the trick or treaters.  That was pretty fun too!
Then, in early November, mommy had to go into the hospital for a few days.  That was really hard on me!  I got to go visit her in the hospital but did NOT understand why she couldn't come home with us or why I couldn't stay there with her.  I had a slumber party at Nonna's house and once at Jace's house to help take my mind off of things.  Thankfully she was able to come home after surgery and then had a week off to rest and recuperate.
Here's a funny thing I said the other day that mommy wanted to remember:   "Mommy, when you left this morning baby brother cried Meaty Murder!  He wiped boggers all over my jammies so I'm gonna need a new pair tonight!"

**Pics to come!!!

Maddox:
Well, sissy told you all the big stuff up there so I will just give you an update on me and what I've been doing.  I'm quite the ham-bone and keep every body on their toes.  I really developing my own language and if it wasn't for mommy, not many people would know what I am saying.  Here's a list of some of my best words (what I say = what it means).
Veh-veh = Fire Truck
Yay-ya = Necklace
Woy-ya = Jacket
Say-sah = Book
Daloo = Towel
Ribbip = my very best froggie impersonation
Do dat = Do that
Yep = for yes... and anything I really like!

I'm also really rocking the potty training!  I am dry many mornings when I get up and stay dry during the day as long as someone helps me go a lot.  I've figured out that it is really fun to go outside and pee-pee on things in the yard!
Maren did forget to mention the annual hunting season that always comes this time of year.  Shortly after mommy got home from the hospital Daddy left to go elk hunting and we were home alone for about a week.  While he was gone Miss Heather, Jace, and Bella all came over for a movie night and slumber party.  We had a great time dressing up in our costumes and watching Peter Pan.
