Disney Done Right

Maren:
What an awesome vacation!  After visiting the parks for three days in a row we decided to chill at the hotel for a pool day.  We spent the entire day down at the pool relaxing and playing and it was great!
Then, we wrapped up our stay with two more days back at Disneyland!  One of the days we had a special breakfast at Minnie's Cafe and as you can see in the pictures below I got to meet a lot of characters.  We also got to see a bunch of them around the park that day and I got a lot of autographs in my book.  I was very excited and gave them all big, BIG hugs.  We spent most of our days riding lots of rides... my favorites were Splash Mountain (though I think the big drop was kinda scary) and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.  We rode those over and over and over again.  We checked out a few others like Pirates of the Caribbean, and visited the Tiki Room too.  Our very last day in the park we got to watch the Soundsational Parade again and I wrapped the trip up by participating the the Jedi Academy.  A bunch of kiddos got to wear our own Jedi Capes and got our own light sabers to fight against the Dark Side.  After our in depth training we got to fight the bad guys.  I had to go face to face with Darth Vader!  But, I wasn't scared and stood my ground like a brave Jedi.
We had one more relaxation and pool day before heading home.  I was sad to go but am already planning our next trip.  Mommy says we have to save lots of money!

Maddox:
I have to say that this has been the best vacation I have ever had!  Not hard to do, but still... !  Our last few days in the park mommy and daddy really tried to get me on as many rides that they could.  I couldn't ride Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain so I spent lots of time riding Pooh's ride, visiting Tarzans Tree, the Rocket Ships, Its a Small World (which is definitely my favorite... I stood in the boat, snapped my fingers and danced the entire time!!) and the like.  Even though sissy wanted to meet as many characters as possible I wanted absolutely nothing to do with them.  At breakfast Tigger tried to give me a high five and I tried to hide in my plate!  I did enjoy all of the yummy food so I was happy.  Maybe next time...

California Adventures!

Maren:
Our second and third days in the parks we spent at California Adventures.  Mommy and daddy had never been there either so it was a new experience for all of us.  The park is quite a bit different from Disneyland but still lots of fun.
One of the most amazing things they had in the park is a live show of Frozen.  Daddy took Maddox back for a nap and mommy and I got to watch it.  We were running across the park to go and see it when we ran into Minnie Mouse!  So, we stopped to say hello, she gave me some kisses and we headed to see the show.  It was really amazing!  Elsa and Anna sang all of their songs and I got to see it all in person!  Then, after the show we took a chance, walked over to a different building and got to meet Elsa and Anna in person.  I was beaming from ear to ear and was so excited that I could barely speak!  They both gave me lots of hugs and snuggles and I was over the moon happy.
One of the nights in California Adventure we got to have dinner with the princesses at Ariel's Grotto.  When we got there, we got a special meeting with Ariel and then a bunch of princesses came right to our table!  I got to see Cinderella and Belle again, but was super excited that I got to meet Rapunzel and Aurora for the very first time.
The second day at California Adventure started off a bit rainy but it didn't stop us... we are Oregonian's after all!  Mommy and Daddy bundled us up and we just spent the first few hours checking out shows and such.  One of my favorites was Turtle Talk with Crush!  We sat down in a big room and Crush (the turtle from Finding Nemo) came in and talked to us.  He actually swam right up to me and I got to ask him a question.  I was kinda shy so all I said was "You're funny!"
One of the most fantastic things in the park was an area they had set up for kids to play.  There were zip lines, slides, rock and rope climbs... we spent hours there just climbing and playing.  Both Maddox and I really enjoyed it.

Maddox:
Our adventures continue and I am having a blast!  Because I am little, there are a lot of rides I can't go on, but I'm pretty happy just walking around and checking things out.  They had a bunch of stuff for littles to do in the park.  My favorites were: the water play ground, where they had a whole area of shooting fountains that would go off randomly.  I loved chasing the water and running from it!  I also really liked the Adventure land where they had lots of rope ladders to climb on (even though they kinda scared me) and slides.  I went down the slides at least 100 times and would cry every time mommy and daddy said it was time to go!  Of course I loved cars land!  There were cars everywhere and there were actually a few rides I could go on.  My favorite was Luigi's dancing cars.  That was super fun!  I also really enjoyed the Pixar parade because of the music, the characters still were very scary, but as long as they stayed away from me I was fine!  The World of Color show was also pretty spectacular.  I loved the lights and music and danced on mommys shoulders the whole time.
