February is the month of Love!

 Maren:

January passed quickly with all of our activities and February was here before we knew it.  Spring is on its way and with it come lots of baby animals.  My good friend Cindy woke up one day to find a big little surprise in one of her fields... a brand-new baby miniature donkey.  She called my mommy and asked if I could come spend the day at the ranch to see her and do some training.  It has been a while since I have been there but I always enjoy my time with her and her animals.  I got to spend a whole day on the ranch playing with the dogs and working with the new baby donkey.  In the end when mommy came and picked me up, she called the donkey a "little biscuit" and it ended up sticking as her name!

February is Nonno's birthday and we always love to celebrate with him and share his yummy cake.  This year Wes, Tiffany, and Caitlyn were here visiting so Caitlyn got to be in our annual picture which made it super special for Nonno.

Thankfully Covid numbers have allowed activities to start up again and the City of Medford once again hosted their annual Father Daughter Formal Dance.  The morning of the dance mommy and I went for a mani/pedi date, she did my hair in lots of pretty curls, and I wore the dress that she made for me two years ago.  We had lots of friends there and daddy and I had a wonderful time together.  It was nice to be back to our annual tradition.

Maddox:

As I mentioned last month, I have had the birthday that never ends!  After I pinky promised my mommy that I would be content with my trip to the snow and that I didn't need an actual birthday party.  But... as my actual birthday drew near I kinda changed my mind.  Really all I wanted was a small celebration with my closest buddies so mommy planned a special play date/birthday celebration one weekend.  I really wanted an army themed party and we came up with a great idea to hold a boot camp.  Daddy and mommy were the drill sergeants and they put us through some PT, running cadence, and an obstacle course complete with target shooting!  Jacob, Chase, and Summit came over for the day to share the fun.  We had nachos for lunch and an amazing camo army ice cream cake.

February is the month of love and the celebration of Valentine's Day.  Mommy and daddy had a nice gift for us in the morning before school... sissy got some new leggings (since all of hers have holes in them), a few tank tops and a sweater to match.  I got some a few new pairs of skinny jeans that I have been asking for and some white tank tops to wear (for some reason this has been on my wish list for many, many months now).  Mommy made us heart shaped waffles for breakfast and home-made heart shaped pepperoni pizza for dinner!  We are loved!

School has been going well and we are reaching the halfway point for the year.  We have had some fun projects lately and mommy has been volunteering in the class all day.  When we were wrapping up our project on the human body and all of the cool things it does a few mommies brought their sewing machines to help us make our own superhero capes!  We all sat down one at a time to help make our own capes and run the machines.  I also got to take Clementine with me to school one day, and Jo hung out in Maren's!  Since the dogs have been so well trained the teachers allowed them to visit which was great for everyone!
