Happy Buh-Buh to me!!

This last weekend I turned three! I have been talking about my birthday (which I call Buh-Buh) for months now and was so excited that it was finally here.  Mommy and daddy decided to take me on a trip to Sacramento to the zoo, FairyTale Town and Funderland Park instead of having a party for me.  We had a great time hanging out together as a family.
We drove down to Sac Friday night after mommy got off work which made it kind of a late night. But, that meant we could be there right when the zoo opened before it got hot. We knew that we would have a better chance of seeing the animals before it got too hot.
We got to see five giraffes up really close. One of them was super silly and kept kicking a really big barrel around like it was a ball. We also got to see a spotted leopard, some orangutans, a lion, really big ant eaters, and lots of other animals up really, really close. Mommy and daddy kept saying how amazing it was to see the animals that close. Probably my favorite part of the zoo was a show we went to where at the end we got to touch a bunch of the animals. I got to pet "Abby" the six banded armadillo, a hedge hog, a tortoise, and got to see a blue Macaw and Harris Hawk up really close. Abby the armadillo was my favorite! We got to chase her back and forth and she would run underneath our legs like a bridge!!

After the zoo in the morning and a nice nap, mommy and daddy took me to a place called Funderland Park. It is a small amusement park with rides just for little bitty kiddos like me. My favorite ride was the little fishies, but I also really liked the carousel.  I also got to experience cotton candy for the very first time! What a sticky mess that is!

And After!!

Needless to say, I was totally exhausted after a very busy day AND I was filthy dirty!! Mommy got me all cleaned up and in bed for a good nights sleep. Sunday, mommy and daddy woke me up singing Happy Birthday... I just giggled and giggled and giggled! The they took me to a really neat place called Fairytale Town which is a big park with tons of stuff to climb on and play on. Everything is based on a nursery rhyme or kid story. I got to run around and climb all over everything and everyone there was around my age which was really nice. Right before we left they had a show on one of the big stages and all of the princesses came out to sing me Happy Birthday! I just stood there looking terrified the whole time!!

Hayden and Bubba come to visit!

This last week my cousins, Hayden and Jimi (I call him Bubba) came to visit from New Jersey. And to make it even better, my Nonna and Nonna brought them up!! I was so excited to have them all here for almost a week.
While the were here we all went to the beach for a few days. Mommy rented the same house we stayed in with Jace and Heather a few months ago so we were really close to the ocean. We had lots of fun while we were there... We played in forts and built fires right on the beach, looked in tide pools for fun sea creatures, and just had lots of fun being super silly.
While we were there my mommy put together an early Birthday Party for me so that Nonna, Nonno, and the boys could help me celebrate. I was thrilled because there were orange balloons and streamers everywhere! Then, to make it better everyone dressed up like dogs and made it a Big Dog Party!! There were black dogs, green dogs, white dogs, blue dogs, brown dogs, and red dogs! Oh! And then, the best part.... My mommy made me a special orange cake that was covered in M&M's!! I was in heaven!
On our way home from the beach we stopped at Jedediah Smith State park to have a pic-nic and play in the river for a while. We took a nice walk in the Redwoods and got to see some really amazing trees.  Nonno was really worried because there was a LOT of poison oak along the trail... At one point my mommy turned around and found me with a big handful of the pretty red leaves that had fallen on the trail! I was pretty proud of myself but she really freaked out! Luckily, I didn't get a rash.

Water Park = Tons of Fun!!

About a week and a half ago we got to take a very special road trip down to Redding to go to the water slides. I had never been before so I was a bit scared at first but my good friend Jace showed me exactly what to do.   I spent a lot of time watching the other kiddos and swimming around in the kiddie pool until I was comfortable.  Then, I decided the slides looked pretty fun so I gave them a try. After that you couldn't keep me off of them.  We spent most of the day there and our mommies pushed our naps back a bit so we could play longer. On the way home I got to have my very first In-and-Out burger!! Yummy! After our bellies were full it didn't take Jace and I long to pass out in the car for the trip home.

Fun with friends

We have been so busy the last month that I haven't seen my good friend Jace in almost four weeks! We were really missing each other and this last week we got a couple of chances to get together.
Jace, Baby Bella, and their mommy came over this last Saturday and we played outside until it got hot. Jace and I splashed and jumped into my pool and were having a really great time. Then, Miss Heather had a great idea to put my slide next to the pool so we could slide right into it. It was a lot of fun, but I bumped my bottom on a rock and wasn't too happy. Mommy lined the bottom of the pool with a towel to protect us and we were back in business!
Then, the other day while my mommy was working my daddy took me to ride a jet boat. Jace and his family met us and we all went together. I was really scared on the first part of the trip because the boat was so loud and it was really windy in my ears. After we stopped and had lunch I had lots of fun on the ride home and didn't want to get off the boat.

Not so happy on the first part of the ride:

Much better on the way home:
