Merry Christmas!

Maren:
Christmas is such a special time at our house.  It is magical, beautiful, and fun!  Mommy has been really busy trying to get Christmas together for so many kiddos that her first few weeks of December were really busy.  She more than made up for it the last few weeks and made absolutely every day special for us.
One night the Oppelt Family came over with all of their kiddos!  It was a fantastic party with everyone running around in the house.  Mommy got gingerbread houses and trains for us to decorate and we had a blast.  Most of the kiddos just wanted to eat the candy and the gingerbread but I took my job really seriously!  I spent lots of time decorating and ended up with a really beautiful house. The following day Jace, Bella, and Miss Heather came over so we could celebrate Christmas with them.  The brought over the movie Polar Express and we watched it together while we drank cocoa and ate popcorn.
Christmas Eve was wonderful and we stayed at Nonna and Nonno's house so that daddy would have more time to be with us on Christmas morning before he had to run off to work.  He surprised us that morning when he didn't leave... a friend offered to work for him for a few hours so that we could spend some time together as a family!
I had asked for a puppy and to my surprise I found a sweet little black lab stuffed animal waiting for me with a letter from Santa himself.  The letter told me about a very special dog named Joline.  She had been in training to be an assistance dog for a blind person but she was unable to complete her training for some reason.  Santa had been given the job to find her a good home and he chose me.  Of course, I thought he was talking about the stuffed animal but much to my surprise a beautiful black lab puppy came running up to me while Nonna read the letter.  I was so surprised and so very happy! She is the most beautiful thing and I am so proud that she is my very own!  Mommy got her a bed and she sleeps in my room every night.  I got lots of other fun things for Christmas too!  A doll with hair that looks just like me and a horse for her to ride, I got lots of clothes for my doll and even a matching outfit for me, I got lots of good books, and much more.  It was a great Christmas!

Maddox:
This year our Daddy had to work on Christmas Day.  We were are all really bummed that he wouldn't be with us so mommy and daddy tried to plan lots of stuff before Christmas that we could do together as a family.  Sister told you about all of our celebrations with friends the week before Christmas and we certainly had lots of fun.  On Christmas Eve we went to church together as a family and sissy and I got to go to the service.  It was really amazing with lots of pretty lights and music.  I loved listening to the songs and dancing in mommys arms.  After nap time, mommy and daddy loaded up all of the presents, and we headed in to Nonna and Nonno's house for the night.  That evening we had a wonderful Christmas dinner.  Uncle Frankie, Maria, and Brody came and so did our good friend Mr. Mark Boone and his mommy.  We got to open a few presents that night and I got an awesome cement truck from Uncle Frankie.
Christmas morning was absolutely spectacular!  I woke up to find that Santa had come and he brought me my very own tractor that I can drive around!  I was so happy and so very excited that I didn't really care about opening any other presents for a long time. When I finally came around to opening my gifts I realized that I got some really spectacular things!  Nonna and Nonno gave me an awesome tractor with a trailer that I can push around, I got some cool remote control bumper cars, lots of good books, and more.  I agree with sissy... it was a great Christmas!
