This last week I turned 5!!! My week was packed full of fun things that my mommy planned for me. I felt like a princess every single day even though I was a bit sick (My throat was super swollen and I ran a fever for over a week. Ended up that I had Strep throat)! The day of my actual birthday both my mommy and daddy had to work... BUT, my mommy woke me up singing "Happy Birthday" and when she carried me downstairs I had a birthday muffin waiting for me with 5 candles! After breakfast mommy dropped me off at Nonna and Nonno's house so I could share a special day with them. We went to the water park, out to lunch and to a butterfly park. I didn't quite understand why we weren't having my party on the actual day of my birthday but I worked through it! The next day, mommy took me to my very special place, my Nonna met us there and we had a tea party! The people served me tea in my own special pot and I got to drink from very fancy china tea cups. We ate scones and little tiny sandwiches. I really started to feel kinda yucky during our tea party and sort of fizzled out a bit. Mommy got worried because my big party was in a few days and decided to run me in to the doctor. They ran a quick strep test that came back negative so my doctor told mommy it was probably just a virus and would go away eventually. Mommy took me home and tucked me into
The day of my party, I was still running a low fever and felt a bit down. Mommy sent everyone a message to let them know that the party was still on but gave them the option not to come if they wanted. She still threw a great party and had a huge surprise for me! When I came home from Nonna's house there was a HUGE water slide set up in our yard for my "Under the Sea" themed birthday! Mommy had decorated the yard with lots of jelly fish and sea creature and made me the cutest cupcakes too! One of the most exciting things for me was when my very best friend from school, Cali, showed up! I was so excited and it really made my day very special. Overall we had a blast that day, even the adults joined in the fun! Unfortunately we found out the very next day that I had Strep Throat and needed to go on antibiotics.

Last week was my sissy's birthday and I sure had a lot of fun helping her celebrate. Since it was her special week, I really tried to lay low and let her take the spot light. I did get to go along for a few things... like her visit to the water park with Nonno and Nonna. The day of her birthday was sure a blast! We had tons of people at our house and lots of kiddos to play with. I got to have a cupcake, but I didn't eat the whole thing, and my mommy even took me down the water slide a few times. Every time she would carry me up I would say.... "Nooo!" But then, I would giggle the whole way down! Probably my most favorite thing to do during the birthday party was to scavenge food off of peoples plates! I wandered around the party and would pick and choose all of the goodies I liked. I even helped finish some peoples punch they left laying around!
