Our summer continues to be loads of fun! My Auntie C-C, Hayden and Jimi came to visit for about a week and we had an amazing time full of fun and adventure! It was Hayden's birthday the first day they were here so we had a little party and mommy made an awesome ice cream cake! We had a big slumber party at Nonna's house and the following morning a fun family bike ride around the neighborhood. We then took the party to our house when the adventure continued. Daddy set up the elk tent for us and the zip line too! We camped out in the tent every night we were there! One of the days daddy and mommy took us all rafting, just like we did last year, since Auntie C-C didn't get to go before. We had a really nice float and a yummy picnic along the way. A few days later daddy headed off to eastern Oregon for an antelope hunt and the rest of us headed to the lake. Dr. Frank was gracious enough to allow us to use his cabin for the whole weekend. Nonna and Nonno took their trailer so that everyone had plenty of room to sleep. We had kayaks, a canoe, a couple of paddle boards, an inflatable trampoline, and a little fishing boat called the "Boston Whaler". We had so much fun playing on the water, though we didn't get in it very much because it was so very cold. I absolutely had a blast with my cousins this year!
Maddox:
We had some fun summer visitors and a lot of fun adventures! My Auntie C-C was so excited to see me, but unfortunately I really didn't want anything to do with her. She never invaded my space or pushed the issue but I never warmed up to her. Mommy was really surprised since my sissy loved her instantly at my age and because she looks and sounds so much like mommy/Nonna. But... NOPE! I wasn't going for it! I did really love their visit though because it meant my mommy was off for 11 days in a row! I really liked having her, Nonna, and Nonno around all of the time.
Our visit to the cabin was especially fun for me. I loved being down on the dock, sitting on the ladder and splashing my feet in the water. It made my mommy really nervous when I did this with all of the other kiddos running around... she was convinced I was going to be knocked in. So, she got really smart and filled a bucket full of water for me to play in! I loved sitting in the bucket and scooping the water out and dumping it on peoples shoes! I thought that was very funny!
Here's some big news: I officially blew my mommies mind the other day when I came to her and said "pee-pee"! When she asked if I wanted to go pee-pee on the potty, I ran to the toilet and said "potty"! Then.... she took off my diaper, sat me down and I went pee-pee (just a little bit... but, its a start)! I giggled and giggled! She was so proud of me! She sang a song and did a little dance which made me giggle even more! Not a bad start for just being a year and a half old!!
