Life is busy and February came on like a whirlwind. Mommy got really sick with the flu after coming back from Mexico so she is still trying to catch up with life. As a result, we never got the house decorated and before we all knew it, it was Valentines Day. Daddy was a work but mommy still made the day really special for us. There was no school for me so we spent the day together! During the day we baked a heart shaped cake and some cupcakes, then for dinner we made home made heart shaped pizza and watched a movie together.
February is the annual Father and Daughter dance and once again mommy made me an amazing dress. Since she was sick after her trip to Mexico she was really behind in getting started on it. She spent a whole weekend making it for me and it turned out absolutely amazing! I felt like a princess for sure. Daddy and I had a great time like we always do and danced the whole night together.
We got to celebrate Nonnos birthday with him with a special dinner at their house. I helped Nonna make the yummy coconut cake that she always makes for him and we got to share a piece for our annual photo. We sure love our Nonno!

My birthday weekend is behind us and I'm loving being a 5 year old! I have really started helping out around the house with chores like a big boy. I particularly love to do the dishes with daddy at night and to help mommy in the kitchen with cooking.
When Maren and daddy went to the dance mommy took me on a special date of our own. I dressed up like a gentleman so that we could go out to dinner. I chose Red Robin! After a great meal mommy surprised me with their famous mud pie for dessert. It was so big that we couldn't eat all of it! Then we went to see a movie together in the theater! We saw a super funny movie about a spy that gets turned into a pigeon! I laughed and laughed! We had a great night.
At the end of the month we had a really beautiful sunny day that we got to go on a hike. I am proud to say that I hiked all the way up the upper Tablerock trail to the very top! When we got up there we had a nice picnic lunch that mommy packed for us before walking around and checking out the view. On the way down daddy was nice enough to carry me in the pack because my legs were getting pretty tired. It was a really nice family day.
