Just Horsin' Around!

Maren:
Summer is here and that means corn on the cob!  Unfortunately I am a bit challenged by my missing teeth!  Mommy got a kick out of torturing me a bit before she cut it off the cob for me to eat with a fork.  I gave her a good eye roll over that one!
This last week I got to participate in horse camp again!  Because I am a bit older mommy and daddy let me participate in a few more days and I got to stay the night for two days!  It was earlier this year which meant that it wasn't quite as hot as it was last year.  The days were still long but we really had a blast!  I participated in two days with individual lessons, a play day, the field trip day, and the show.  My favorite was probably the play day!  Mommy was there with me all day that day to help out with the games we played.  We got to decorate our horses with paints and such and then we played all sorts of games!  I even won a ribbon for one of the relay races that I did on Jack!  For the field trip day we visited a farm with miniature donkeys and then we painted pottery horses.  For the show, I didn't ride a specific "test" but I did get to show the judge my riding skills.  I rode Phoenix and even trotted solo for her!  That was a huge accomplishment for me since I have not trotted solo since my fall off of A.J. a few months ago.  Mommy was starting to worry that I wasn't going to be able to get past my fears but I proved her wrong!
