Dancing Butterflies and Superheros

Maren:
Summer is almost here, the school year is winding down but Mrs. Safko is still making things magical for us everyday.  This spring we had the opportunity to hatch our own butterflies, learning about their life cycle during the process. We got to make and decorate our own butterfly wings and then go for a beautiful dance/walk when we released all of the butterflies into the wild.  It was great fun!
A few days later we had our very first, and only, field trip!  I was so excited about it... I talked about it for weeks, planned my outfit, and counted the hours.  Because it was on a Friday, my mommy even got to go with us.  We went to Motion Matrix, a tumbling/gymnastics place in Grants Pass.  They split us into groups and had some really fun obstacle courses for us to complete.  I had an absolute blast!
The most exciting news thing to tell is... Daddy and Mommy bought us a camper!  They have been talking about it for a really long time but finally did it.  Mommy has been looking for a specific one and daddy went to pick it up the other day!  We had our first camp out this weekend up at Indian Mary Park.

Maddox:
Sissy already told you that we got a new camper.  It is so super cool and we love it!  We each have our own bunk bed to sleep in which is super awesome and mommy and daddy have a funny bed that folds up into a wall and completely disappears!  The camper has its own bathroom with a tiny shower that I think is super funny and it even has a T.V!
We went on our first camp out this last weekend.  Daddy and I went up on Friday to set up and mommy and sissy joined us after school.  We had lots of fun playing down in the river, riding our bikes, and even made a new friend.  Mommy and I only got to stay one night though because we had a special date on Saturday night.
Saturday was a mommy-son date night... we went to Red Robin for dinner (because I wanted chicken nuggets) and then to a Super Hero Dance.  I dressed up as the Incredible Hulk... mommy made me the coolest costume ever!  Mommy dressed up as Cat Woman and looked pretty cool.  We didn't spend a lot of time dancing because they had a few jump houses set up for us to play on and thats all I wanted to do.  Mommy was pretty sick so she was happy to watch me jump and bounce the night away.  They did have an inflatable jousting house and mommy and I had our own little battle.  The joust stick weighed almost as much as I did but I still gave it my best effort.
