Welcome 2022

 Maren:

We are officially into another new year and I am on the downhill slope to turning 11!  Once we settled from our trip to Mexico/Disneyland and started school up again we have been back to our normal busy lives.  I will let my brother tell you about the majority of things this month since it is his birthday month!  

The week after Christmas brought us a ton of new snow and we had the sledding bug pretty badly.  Micah and James were here for their Christmas Break and we all headed up to Table Mountain for a snow day.  We had a great time with the boys sledding.  Mommy brought lots of yummy food to keep our tummies full and cocoa to keep us warm.  

Since we were out of town last month on the actual day of mommy's birthday Nonna made a special dinner and cake for her this month to celebrate.  Even though it was late I think mommy felt very special! 

Maddox: 

This is the month of my birthday!  This year, I had a birthday that never seemed to end... and I loved it!  In lieu of having a big party I asked if we could take a trip up to the snow to stay in a cabin and go sledding.  The cabins that we stay at were all booked up around my actual birthday so we went up a few weeks ahead of time.  I got to bring my good buddy Summit and Maren brought her friend Amelia.  We had a great time playing in the snow and sledding and it was really special to have some good friends with us.  A few days before we went to the cabin I got the best birthday surprise ever... my very own dog!  The same lady that helped raise Joline when she was a guide dog also raised my dog, Clementine.  Unfortunately she didn't make it in the program and when we went to visit Ms. Cindy she asked me if Clementine could come live with me forever.  I kept looking at mommy to see if it was real and when she nodded her head at me tears of joy filled my eyes.  She sleeps in my room with me every night and I love her so much!  

The actual weekend of my birthday we had a very nice family dinner.  Uncle Frankie, Aunt Michelle, Nonna and Nonno came to help me celebrate.  We had a really nice family dinner and mommy made us a really great cake to share.  I am now 7 years old!
