Winter is finally here!

Maren:
School is back in session and we are getting back to normal life after a fun and busy Christmas.  I had to miss a few weeks of horse lessons because I was sick and the holiday schedule but I'm back at it again.  Miss Sonja had me ride a new horse last week because Jack had to have an injection in his knee.  I rode Cal and was a bit nervous so mommy and Miss Sonja decided that I was getting a bit too comfortable with Jack.  They discussed pushing me out of my 'box'.  I'm not sure what that means but I guess I will be riding Cal a bit more by the looks of it!
We got to have a special sleep over with Jace and Bella last weekend for the first time in a long time.  I have really been missing my buddy Jace so I was really happy to spend some quality time with him. 
Winter is finally here with some cold weather and the first snow of the season!  We woke up one morning to find a yard full of snow and I was so excited!  Rapid fire phone calls to the house followed to tell us that school was canceled for the day.  Thankfully daddy was home and to top it off we got to pick up a friend from my class for the day.  Xxander, Maddox, Daddy and I had a great time playing in the snow all day!  We finished our day by roasting marshmallows in the wood stove before sending Xxander home for the evening. 

Maddox:
Mommy was pretty bummed to have school start again because she's gonna miss sissy, but I will admit that I kinda like it.  With sissy back in school I get my Monday and Friday mommy time and I really like it!  We have been having lots of fun on our special days!  We've been to The Kid Zone in Grants Pass a few times for their open gym time and I absolutely love it!  Bella and Miss Heather met us there once too.  I think my favorite thing is to jump on the trampoline and in the big foam pit.  Mommy even jumps in there with me too!  After one of our trips there Mommy treated me to my very first In And Out Burger and Shake!  It was sooooo very yummy!

Something cute I said the other day:
Maddox: Mommy, why do you have hairy armpits?
Me: I don't know baby.  I guess God was feeling silly that day.
Maddox: Why don't I have hairy armpits?
Me: You will someday when you're a big boy.
Maddox: I don't want hairy armpits.  Can I be your baby forever?
Me: Of course love... of course!
