We are always busy around our house and things get more exciting every day. My baby brother is in to everything and growing so fast. By the end of the day my mommy often hears me tell him... "Go away Maddox! I need some space!" As much as I tell him this, he just doesn't seem to get it. He just keeps on coming. I am mommy and daddy's big helper when it comes to the little man. I keep a close eye on him and let everyone know when he is doing something he shouldn't... which seems like all of the time!
My mommy recently decided to make our guest bedroom into a playroom for Maddox and I. She moved the bed over which opened the floor up for all of our toys. We LOVE playing in there and now our living room isn't constantly a mess.
My love for everything Frozen continues and my Nonna just bought me an awesome Elsa hat that has a braid! I wear it everywhere I possibly can and it is even better when I can pair it with a Frozen themed dress or costume. My mommy tells me that we are going to visit Elsa and Anna at Disneyland shortly after I turn 5 and that we need to start saving money. I am now asking everyone that comes to our house for pocket change which I promptly put in my piggy bank!
Here is a cute little thing I said the other day on the way in to school... we were just coming to the top of Blackwell Hill and the sun was coming up in the horizon. When I saw all of the colors I said: "Look Maddox! The whole world is so beautiful! Wow God!"
Maddox:
The month is coming to an end and I am getting closer and closer to turning 1! I am learning so many new things and finding so many ways to get myself into trouble.
For the most part, I am a pretty good eater but when I am done... I am DONE! I may eat something really well for a few bites, but then will decide that I have had enough. When I reach that point, I either spit the food out or grab it from my mouth. I quickly follow that by throwing it onto the floor! My mommy recently found out that I will eat my broccoli like a champ if she puts some hummus on it... yummy! But again, I will only fall for that trick for a while.
I also have started using some sign language to everyones delight (Jan 18th). I know the words "more" and "please" though I often don't use them in the right context. Regardless, I am figuring it out and watching very closely when people "talk" with me.
Some other big milestones that have happened: I have officially mastered the stairs and I love climbing them when no one is watching. Unfortunately, I am still pretty unstable (especially when I am going down) so mommy or daddy stay pretty close to me. I love climbing up and down, up and down, up and down! I could do it for hours! I have also recently started dancing when I hear music I like (Jan 20th). My favorite is a bear that used to belong to G.G. It sings "Jesus Loves Me" and it always gets me moving!
Given that it is winter time, we have had a lot of rain and snow. Often times the weather is too yucky to go outside but the other day my mommy found a window of sunshine and we went for a walk for some fresh air. My sister was at dance class so it was just mommy and I and she let me get out of my stroller to play in the puddles. It was really cold water but I had a great time!
